Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), located in Bauchi, Nigeria, has set specific cut-off marks for the 2024/2025 academic session to guide prospective students in their admission process.

These cut-off marks are essential criteria that determine eligibility for admission into various undergraduate programs.

General University Cut-Off Mark

For the 2024/2025 academic session, ATBU has established a general cut-off mark of 160. This means that candidates who scored at least 160 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply for the Post-UTME screening exercise.

Admission Requirements

Beyond meeting the UTME and departmental cut-off marks, prospective students must fulfill additional requirements:

  • O’Level Results: Obtain a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.
  • Age Limit: Candidates should be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.
  • First Choice Institution: ATBU should be selected as the first choice in the UTME registration.

Meeting these criteria enhances the likelihood of admission but does not guarantee it, as the process is competitive and also considers Post-UTME screening performance.
